When was the last time you saw a simple to use washing machine like this? Should be more in my opinion. Well done Bosch
If your dishwasher does not drain out and you decide to leave it a few months before having it repaired, please remove water as the bacteria grows and it smells extremely bad
Beko Fridge Doors. Bought this Beko Fridge off ao.com in June 2014 and in October 2016 the door fell off. This door needs to be replaced and the price of the new door is nearly half that of a new fridge so I emailed ao.com making them aware of the "Sales of Goods Act" but after a few emails it seems as if they are not interested and they are telling me it is not an inherent problem but simply wear & tear and are not willing to do anything. So apart from me not going to buy anything from them anymore they are also telling me that Beko Fridge doors are only to last roughly 2 years before they fall off due to wear & tear. We are now using our old fridge that we put in the garage to use as an overflow fridge, this fridge is a Hotpoint that we bought in 1992 and the doors still haven't fallen off.
No longer be recommending ao.com to my customers in future either and that was 5/6 a week.
Bosch Dishwasher, the type where the stainless steel tank slots into a plastic base. This dishwasher is about 5 years old and has been leaking badly for a long time looking at the damage to the wall behind.
The reason for this is a couple of things, first is the consistent low temperatures used by everyone nowadays along with the modern plastic tanks that are used in washing machines.
The bacteria builds up inside the machine and if you use liquid detergents rather than the traditional powder this makes it a whole lot worse because liquid detergents do not have any chlorine bleaching agents in them.
The solution is to use powder and put the machine through a maintenance wash from time to time using the 90 degree wash
Bosch washing machines in the past never suffered from drum bearing failure but now that seems to have changed. The pictures below show two Bosch models that seem to have drum bearings that fail only after a few years of use whereas Bosch washing machines of the past would last the life of the machine.
Since the year 1999 to 2005 some of these dishwashers had a problem with their circuit boards overheating and sometimes catching fire. You can find out if yours is affected by clicking on the picture.
If you find your Beko dishwasher in pumping continuously its because the anti-flood device has been activated and the most common problem for this is one of the hoses just falls off like in the picture below.
Cut a bit off the end and just push it back on.
Bosch Dishwashers are not as well built or reliable as they were. The picture shows a leak from the sump that drips onto the drain pump motor and then fills the base of the dishwasher giving an E15 fault code and putting the dishwasher out of action.
The most common fault code on a Bosch dishwasher is E24 which should be a drainage problem but I have found the E24 and E25 could be anything from the reed switch to the motor (heat pump)
