Went to repair a cooker the other day only to find an extremely old cooker, I was shocked and  asked the customer how long he had had this and he replied it was fitted in 1971 (50 years ago) amazingly I had the element it needed to repair it. 

Bosch Dishwashers have a large plastic tank covering the whole of the left hand side of their dishwashers called the "Heat Exchange". Nothing goes wrong with this part except the very small valve on the bottom right called the "Drain Valve" but when this fails (Usually bringing up fault code E19) you have to order the whole Heat Exchange as the valve has not been made to remove nor does it come as a spare part so this means you have to throw away the plastic Heat Exchange when there is nothing wrong with it and it goes to land fill, how bad is that when the land and oceans are filling up with plastic.
